Residential

We provide a safe, home-from-home residential setting for young people aged between 7-17 who have behavioural difficulties.

The young people are at the very core of what we do and we actively encourage them to play a part in making decisions which affect the running of their home. Through one-to-ones and team meetings our young people can offer suggestions about how things are run and also question us about why we do things a certain way. We like them to have a voice and empower them to use it.

We use care plans as an overarching document which dictates the young person’s time and experience in the house. The care plan will act as the crux of their stay and will include all aspects of their life, including education, any medication, etc. They provide a direct approach to very individualised care and support. It is a means of communication and demonstrating that everyone is on the same page. The young person will be supported to live a positive life, and the plan allows us to measure the effectiveness of working towards that outcome.

Collaboration with all key people in the young person’s life is vital to the success of the placement. We work alongside local authorities, social workers and other professionals who have the best interests of the young person at heart.

Our vastly experienced staff display a visible presence and are always on hand for any situation which arises. Our team complement each other and have a mixed and diverse range of skills to give the best possible support.

Contact with family and friends is always encouraged, wherever possible and appropriate, and visits to the home are always allowed.

Striving to deliver the highest standard of care
