Working Together
Our holistic child-centred approach means we strive to achieve what is in the best interests of the young person and we collaboratively work with young people, families, local authorities and all other partner agencies in accordance with Every Child Matters. Our focus is on improving outcomes for each and every young person under our care and supervision.
We recommend full attendance at review and routine meetings relating to the young person so everyone is kept fully aware and up-to-date and any issues can be resolved quickly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will I be able to see my family and friends?
Yes of course. We actively encourage contact and will support you to maintain positive relationships with your family and friends. Visitors are always welcome as long as we have details of who they are and their relationship to you. We do have set times for visiting and we appreciate you keeping to these times. Sometimes you will want to go out with your family and friends, and this is fine as well. It could be for a special event, like your birthday, and as long as we know where you are going and what time you will be back, we hope that you have a great time and we can’t wait to hear all about it when you return!
Will I have my own room?
Yes, you will have your own room. Your room will have everything you need, and we will help you make it your own and choose bedding and paint. Inside your room will be a bed, bedside cabinet, and wardrobe. We will always respect your privacy and this is your own personal space.
Who will look after me?
When you arrive, you will be given your own individual keyworker who will your first port of call for anything. When you first come, your head might be full of questions and you may not remember all of them at the time. If you do think of things you want to ask, then you can chat to your keyworker any time. They will also go shopping with you and take part in an activity with you. They are really friendly and itching to help you so do make sure you make good use of them!
